動物被賦予了特殊含義，代表了人類某種至高的精神。 非洲部落動物形象面具也都有具體的象徵。
這次展出，收集於布吉納法索大型牛面具，從它的造型體現上可以感受到非洲部落裡一股特別原始的力量。眼睛與臉部的幾何線條交錯著，如同圖騰般的體現。牛角額頭上的變色龍增添了這件面具的力量與靈活感。凸起的牛眼睛，如同無畏的凝視著，雙牛角完美的圓弧造型美感，在體現出非洲部落藝術的驚人創造力。
牛的體力和耐力在部落裡，被認為是宮廷力量的象徵，也是公正的另一種體現。
在慶典舞蹈中有一個特別的橋段，佩戴牛面具的舞者如同宮廷法院法官的身份，主持著正義。 牛面具被認為是最有“ 武力 ”的，如同集合著勇氣和力量的綜合體，也是酋長的象徵。
在東方牛是十二生肖中的第二個，因其勤奮和耐心的品德而受人尊敬，並與水，農業和春季相關聯著。 非洲部落藝術作品裡，除了效仿自然界動物外，人們甚至將動物變形而創造出守護獸，象徵心中守護的角色與力量。
This exhibition features a large bull mask collected from Burkina Faso, where its design embodies a special primal force from African tribal culture. The eyes and geometric lines on the face intersect, presenting a totem-like representation. The chameleon on the forehead with its horns adds to the mask's power and agility. The protruding bull eyes seem to stare fearlessly, while the perfect arc of the two horns adds to the aesthetic beauty, showcasing the stunning creativity of African tribal art.
The strength and endurance of the bull in the tribe are seen as symbols of royal power and another embodiment of justice.
In ceremonial dances, there is a special segment where the dancer wearing the bull mask assumes the role of a royal court judge, presiding over justice. The bull mask is considered the most "powerful," embodying courage and strength, and is also a symbol of the chieftain.
In the East, the bull is the second sign in the Chinese zodiac, revered for its diligent and patient qualities, and associated with water, agriculture, and spring.
In African tribal art, in addition to imitating animals from nature, people even transform these animals into guardian beasts, symbolizing the roles and powers they protect in their hearts.
