The exhibition aims to present different visual experiences. In the exchange process, participants have exchanged works in various forms, including paintings in different media, wood carvings, ceramics, composite media works combining dental molds, insect specimen collections, portrait works, and more. Some of the inspiration even comes from the widely discussed South Korean TV drama "Squid Game." An interesting discovery is that the spirit of exchange itself is not measured by monetary value but through different forms, where one can feel the intangible inner value attached to recognition, respect, and emotion, returning to the pure concept of bartering.

Economist Adam Smith (1723-1790) once pointed out, "Before the invention of money, people would exchange seven chickens for one sheep, or a bag of grain for a pair of sandals." For the special exhibition of this exchange program, the essence of exchange is actually about finding things that one likes, with the visual pairing as the main focus. The exchanged works are paired with tribal art pieces to present another visual possibility and dialogue. The value of an item only arises when we like it. If it is not liked, even the most expensive item remains only with its owner.

Xiaobalang is dedicated to promoting tribal art through this "annual exchange project," allowing more people to learn about tribal art. We are thrilled to have these tribal works exchanged to the hands of those who love them, integrating them into their lives, bringing them a unique sense of inspiration and experience.
